PACM professor Phil Holmes is set to receive an honorary degree (doctor honoris causa) from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Prof. Holmes is a scientist of outstanding authority and influence in applied mechanics and mathematics. He is a key figure of the field worldwide, and a foreign member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences who has been in close connection with Hungarian scientists for three decades.
