Classifying 1D Many-Body Topological Phases
Topological phases of matter are those which cannot be distinguished by local order parameters but are instead characterized by global, deformation-invariant features. We review what is known about the classification of such phases in non-interacting systems and discuss the extension of such results to the interacting setting. No specialized background will be assumed.
