Invariant representations play a fundamental role to classify images and audios signals, but also to analyze physical systems. Stability to deformations is a key requirement in all these domains. We introduce a scattering representation which builds stable invariants to translations or the action of any Lie Group. It is calculated with a cascade of wavelet tranforms and modulus non-linearities. Applications to image and audio classifications will be shown. The representation of intermittent processes and turbulent flows will be discussed.
